Cyberpunk 2077 released a new video that details the new features that gamers will see with the upcoming Phantom Liberty expansion that will release this September 26 for the latest-gen platforms only. It will take gamers to Dogtown, the more nefarious district that CD Projekt Red introduces in this expansion, much more dangerous than that Night City.

It introduces new weapons and cyberware for a more enhanced experience when doing missions and venturing around the dangerous cities of the game. CDPR also promises redesigned perks that will help give gamers the choice of what to focus their power-ups and additional attributes on, expanding on the last version.

New vehicles will also arrive in the expansion which will give the game more flair and choices for their rides when strolling around Dogtown or going on missions that require the extra horsepower. It also introduces the new Relic Skill Tree that adds more capabilities to one's existing avatar.

What to Expect from Cyberpunk 2077 2.0

Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty is promising an enhanced experience in the game, one that gamers felt where CDPR failed with its initial 2020 release.

Alongside this expansion, CD Projekt Red will offer a free update for the latest-gen consoles and PCs only, one that would deliver the revamped experience called "Cyberpunk 2077 2.0" which centers on the new content for the base game. This update was years in the making as releases died down as CD Projekt Red focused on the expansion.

Cyberpunk 2077 from CD Projekt Red

CD Projekt Red was previously the most sought-after developer in the gaming industry, particularly in 2020, when gamers caused massive uproars regarding the massive delay of Cyberpunk 2077.

The terrible launch plagued the game and it received massive backlash as there were a lot of bugs that prevented gamers from enjoying the dystopian GTA-style game. Moreover, it was said to not fulfill its claims and promises from before, with many aspects of the game being an open-world experience, but gamers felt trapped by what it has to offer.

Despite all that, Cyberpunk remains CDPR's largest release in its history.

After all that has been said and done, CDPR still sees a massive future for Cyberpunk 2077, and with that, the company followed up with the Phantom Liberty expansion. The recent trailers and showcase of the upcoming experience are giving gamers hope on what they can experience in Night City and its additional map that will come with Cyberpunk 2077 2.0, possibly the update that will bring the rightful experience.
