Details are scarce on the reboot of the Star Wars Battlefront franchise. Developer DICE and publisher EA have been quiet since they showed concept art and test footage of the game at E3 last year, promising a "spring" reveal for the game.

While spring isn't here quite yet, a new piece of concept art from the game is, and it is absolutely beautiful to look at. Courtesy of IGN:

The art depicts the Battle of Endor from Return of the Jedi. Two rebel soldiers prepare to flank a pair of Stormtroopers, as an AT-ST fires at an unknown adversary. A crippled AT-ST can be seen on the ground as well. Thankfully there are no Ewoks in sight, though it remains to be seen if they will be featured in the actual game.

The original Star Wars Battlefront featured nearly every iconic battle from the Star Wars films, including Endor, so it isn't surprising to see that the location will be returning in EA's reboot. Along with the concept art, IGN has managed to pull a few small details from DICE about what fans can expect from the game.

Star Wars Battlefront design director Niklas Fegraeus tells the site that each map will be tailored to specific game types, in order for players to live out their Star Wars fantasies. Map sizes will vary drastically as well. The Battle of Hoth, for example, will be a much larger area than that of the dense Endor forest.

Fegraeus goes on to say that the game has been shown to close partners already as the team prepares for a full reveal.

"We've been showing the game to some close partners and one of the things we hear is that it doesn't feel like other shooters and that it's fully born from Star Wars," Fegraeus tells IGN. "That really strikes a chord with me and the team as that is exactly the emotion and feeling we are going for and we can't wait to show the world more this spring."

Those are likely comforting words for fans who worry that DICE, who is famous for developing the Battlefield franchise, might simply make a new Battlefield game with a Star Wars skin. It sounds like that isn't the case at all. With a spring reveal of Battlefront coming soon and Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens coming at the end of the year, 2015 is going to be a great year to be a Star Wars fan.
