Among the many features of Spotify is collaboration with friends, allowing to create a shared Playlist, Remote Group session, but in this new release, the company offers "Jam," which brings this simultaneous feature in the Now Playing. The famous player of the music streaming platform would allow friends to 'Add to Queue' in real-time, offering a connected experience with its massive library.

Connected experiences have been made popular by the pandemic, and it allows many to share this among the many features available in the likes of Spotify.

A new release from Spotify introduces its latest feature on the app called "Jam," and as the name suggests, it is a collaborative music listening experience with friends via the Now Playing queue. Sharing music is now easier, also extending more of the experience from its previous features like the Collaborative Playlists and Blend, now centering on real-time listening.

With Jam, Spotify aims to expand more of the Now Playing queue to users, allowing up to 32 listeners with a Spotify account to join the experience and pitch in to bring their favorite songs. Users may "Add to Queue" their preferred tune from Spotify's massive library, taking their social features and upgrading them with personalization technology that allows real-time experiences.

This feature is now available globally starting today, and the latest update will bring the Jam for all.

Only Premium listeners could start a Jam and share their group session with everyone, giving them shareable links to invite more in one session. The creator will have the power to see every song that would be added to the queue and know who added specific music to the list.

Users could see the "Start a Jam" button when invited or by clicking on the speaker icon.

Spotify's Latest Features

It has been iconic for Spotify to bring different features for users to help improve or expand more of their music listening experiences, with regular updates available for all. One feature that was recently introduced was the Daylist, and it leverages the company's algorithm and system to create the applicable playlist depending on their mood, the time of day, and offers a "hyper-personalized" experience.

However, another renowned feature that has been available for long on the Free tier saw its move to the Premium paid subscription, with the song lyrics previously seeing a test that opts it out of the unpaid experience. Spotify clarified later on that this was only a test, amidst the massive complaints from the public for losing access to Lyrics and the app asking them to get Premium.

The new features will continue to arrive on Spotify's app and web browser as the company still sees a massive user base all over the globe, with more to expect in the future. Collaborations are also massive on Spotify, particularly with the new "Jam" feature that will allow up to 32 friends to listen in one "Now Playing" queue in real time, allowing all to pitch in and add their favorite tunes.
