iPhone 15 lineup is subject to overheating issues with its wireless charging in BMWs. Reports indicate that it's not limited to the latest smartphones.
Aside from that, there has been a problem with the NFC chip slotted inside the iPhone, when used with an in-car wireless charger.
Stay Away From BMW's Wireless Charging Pad For iPhone 15
According to Tom's Guide, there are some users who complain that iPhone 15 wireless charging in some kind of BMW might cause the NFC chip to break inside the device.
If you own an iPhone and this particular car model at the same time, you might want to ditch using the wireless charging pad for your device.
The report says that users are greeted with a white screen on their iPhone 15 whenever they use BMW's wireless charging pad. Aside from that, they also encounter issues with data recovery mode which deems the NFC chip as non-functional.
When an NFC chip gets broken, it will affect a wide range of functionalities. Most likely, you will have problems using your digital car keys and Apple Pay.
As such, Apple Pay users won't be able to set up the app, leaving them with no known solution.

Same Charging Issue, But On Other iPhone Models and Cars
As 9to5Mac reports, not only iPhone 15 models are affected by the wireless charging pad problem. The source says that the iPhone 14 lineup is also affected.
One user said that when he used the wireless charger of his iPhone in his Audi, the device suddenly became hot. He added that it's also happening on his iPhone 15 and 14 Pro Max.
Aside from that, a Tesla car owner complained that the wireless charging pad triggers the "Temperature - iPhone needs to cool down before you can use it" message when used with the Tesla QI charger. It just appeared out of nowhere on his iPhone 12 Pro Max.
Another car brand, Ford also shares the same problem with wireless chargers. One user wrote that over-temp charging warnings emerge if the device is charging for too long.
What Should Apple Do to Avoid Overheating Issues
If the Cupertino firm is serious about getting rid of overheating in the future iPhones, it should add a new cooling system to address the problem.
Tech Times reported that there's a promising patent that can give a solution to this challenge. The magnetic liquid heat exchanger which was proposed by Xiaoyi Huang could change the game for Apple's handsets.
Overheating is not the only issue that is plaguing Apple at the time. In particular, the iPhone 12 is faced with judgment as radiation problems surround this specific model.
In France, the radiation watchdog urged Apple to quickly take action about this. Authorities said that excessive levels of radiation could pose health risks to the users.
To put an end to this problem, Apple said that it will roll out software updates for iPhone 12.
