The renowned e-commerce company, Amazon, is now diving into the world of artificial intelligence, centering on a generative AI tool that is meant for Amazon Ads users to enjoy. The tool is one of the first AI technologies released by Amazon apart from Alexa, showing off the company's development and taking on the growing industry, first offering it to advertisers.

Its new AI will help users enhance images to give a better look whenever using them for their product's advertisement, offering generative features to fill in what is needed.

In a recent blog post from Amazon, the company is proudly introducing the arrival of a new generative AI tool for advertisers to use, centering on the Amazon Ads program. The company said that this new image generation tool for users is now available in the beta, meaning that this is currently under testing and will see its limited run for now.

"At Amazon Ads, we are always thinking about ways we can reduce friction for our advertisers, provide them with tools that deliver more impact while minimizing effort, and ultimately, deliver a better advertising experience for our customers," said Colleen Aubrey, senior vice president of Amazon Ads Products and Technology.

The goal is to give brands and companies a chance to improve their ad performance, and it would help get more engagements and "click-through" rates by as much as 40 percent higher said the company.

Better Backgrounds for Ads via AI

Through generative AI, Amazon Ads is looking to bring plain product images to better-looking ones with backgrounds that match its use, purpose, or form factor. Amazon used a toaster in a plain white background as an example, and with its new tool, advertisers may opt to place it onto a countertop which could help give the image more depth, and a better view of how it will look in a certain spot.

Amazon and its AI

While Amazon may not be joining the AI race against OpenAI, Microsoft, and Google, it is still investing heavily in the latest advanced technology available to all and aims to deliver its version of the tech soon. Artificial intelligence is massive in the world, and companies like Amazon are only some of the different Big Tech names to join in the development of the next-gen power.

The world of e-commerce has seen various companies and top names joining the AI revolution, centering on Amazon, eBay, Shopify, and more, expanding on its developments. It was said that these companies have delivered generative AI tools for product listings, allowing their users and sellers to take advantage of the technology for better visibility and assisted experiences.

Generative AI is also massive in e-commerce companies, with many experiences available for sellers, advertisers, and customers alike, despite the tech seeming like it is not needed here. Now, Amazon has introduced its latest take on generative AI, offering a tool for advertisers to use for Amazon Ads, allowing them to enhance more of their images through the technology, hoping to improve engagements and more.
