The Gaming Bible also reported on what the famed insider has to say, with Resident Evil 9 being a "closing chapter to the current 'arc' of the series."

What to Expect From CAPCOM's Resident Evil 9?

The current arc of the series centered on Ethan Winters, with a massive hint in Resident Evil 8: Village, seeing Rose Winters, his daughter, bring flowers to his grave.

However, Ethan is confirmed to be dead through this, with Rose continuing the adventures and missions, undertaking her father's role in the franchise, with reports also hinting at the return of Chris Redfield.

There are also speculations about CAPCOM returning to its roots of offering a third-person POV instead of first-person.
