We tend to forget just how long we sit at a desk on a daily basis. According to the Washington Post, dated April 2019, Americans on average toil away at a desk for as often as 6.5 hours a day. In some cases this number can be even higher and, although few listen, medical experts state that a break from sitting every 30 minutes is an absolute must for improved health.

One of the best solutions for excess sitting is a standing desk. FlexiSpot is a leader in the industry, proving to deliver sound products in the form of ergonomic desk chairs, monitor mounts, and standing desks, like its E7 and E7 Pro. With comfort, quality, and durability in mind, the E7 lineup is built with precision, packing with it a firm commitment to one of the best desks on the market.

The E7 comes in two varied form factors: the E7, a T-Frame model, and the E7 Pro, a C-Frame form. We received the regular E7, which sports dual motors and legs at the center of the product and can hold up to 335 lbs (as opposed to the pro's 440lb capacity). It also comes in a multitude of wood sizes and textures, gifting it loads of potential personality for those looking for that sort of thing. For $120, customers can get a wireless version with bamboo wood, or a gaming series option at $169.

We ended up simply going with bamboo in its smallest form. The texture option looks and feels great, offering the perfect mold for top-down product unboxings and general talking heads. It doesn't stain so badly either, and even when it gets a little wet or blemished, it's quite easy to clean.

Setup was also a breeze, although I did run into a major issue that caused me to have to replace a motor. I fear this is more on me and being a bit careless when unboxing the product, as I think one of the legs accidentally fell while I was setting the pieces out. FlexiSpot was incredibly kind enough to send me an entirely new desk setup and customer support was fantastic through it all, so really have to commend them on keeping communication open.

The build process can take maybe two hours tops. It's worth the wait and effort, as you'll be welcomed with a new desk that can hit heights of up to 48.4" and lows of 22.8", which gifts it a ton of range. The E7 Pro can go even higher, up to 50.6" and a minimum of 25".

The E7 doesn't lag, either, as you might worry about wasting time in the process of lifting the desk to a proper height. Not only does the E7 rise quite fast (from 22" to 48" in 13 seconds), but it also comes equipped with four custom height presets and a lock mechanism so you or a loved one don't curtail your favorite desk height.

In my testing of the E7, I've not run into any major issues aside from the one already mentioned during the building stage. I've used the desk mostly for cooking, taking videos and photos of products, and as a workstation for building things. It's arguably the absolute best multi-tasking desk on the market, allowing you an ample amount of range in terms of comfort and creation.

It remains incredibly sturdy even when accidentally bumping into the E7 in the middle of a video or while frantically cooking. The outer and inner legs never shake as they might on alternative options, and there's little shake even when it's in motion. The E7 is also immensely silent when using its rising function. It's efficient, quick, and isn't a pain to use, especially if you have special presets loaded up.

FlexiSpot also offers several accessories to its standing desk, like a cable management set, desk casters, keyboard trays, and more, some of which I would like to see added on in a bundle of some kind or additional product listing. Given the company's ample commitment to ergonomics in line with the exceptional build quality, versatile options for every form of work would be fun to see.

At a base of $500, the E7 is a worthwhile investment. Very little in the way can be said to tarnish the E7, aside from the much-needed cable management tray as standard in addition to maybe some wheels if a customer wants them. Due to these lacking features and the minor problem experienced in the build stage, I must award the E7 a nine out of ten on the Tech Times review scale.

It's priced well and doesn't leave room for much error, thus making it an ideal choice for practically anyone in need of either amplifying their health or streamlining their day-to-day creation. Plus, you can currently grab either the E7 for $309.99 or the E7 Pro for $449.99 amidst FlexiSpot's ongoing holiday sale.
