At the heart of this update is  Veeam Backup & Replication v12.1, which now incorporates proactive threat hunting for backup integration with Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) platforms, alongside YARA rules to keep an eye out for ransomware patterns.

Furthermore, v12.1 offers valuable guides to incorporate NIST cybersecurity best practices into your operation. This can empower businesses with the know-how to calibrate their cybersecurity efforts and put up a formidable defense against ransomware threats.

• YARA Content Scrutiny: Simplify your recovery by leveraging the YARA content analysis that helps dodge reinfection by utilizing malware-free restore points.

Introducing the New Veeam Cyber Secure Program

Going beyond its innovative platform update, Veeam also revealed its upcoming cybersecurity initiative: the New Veeam Cyber Secure Program. This program, set to launch in early 2024, aims to assist clients in protecting and recovering from ransomware, with offerings that include incident recovery services, advanced onboarding, design and implementation assistance, and quarterly health checks.

The Veeam Cyber Secure Program will provide clients with the assurance of:
