A new feature coming to the Play Store is helping to let users uninstall Android apps from other devices remotely, with Google slowly rolling out the latest addition to eligible devices. Through this feature, users may save some time and effort in removing apps from their phones or tablets without having to touch them directly, and this is helpful for devices that are in a pinch.

For now, the internet company is amidst the distribution of the feature on the latest Play Store app version, with the option to allow this procedure.

The latest changelog for Google System Updates details a new feature coming to the Play Store for users to access, and this is with the capability to uninstall Android apps remotely, via the platform.

It will center on "other connected Android devices," and this means that it is available for devices that have the same Google account used in the Play Store.

Moreover, it was detailed in the release that this is supported across various devices including Android phones, PC, television, Android Auto, and Wear.

This feature is rolling out alongside Play Store version 38.8, and users only have to enable the feature to remove apps remotely.

New Play Store Feature to Help Remove Apps

TheSpAndroid reported that users need to activate this on the Play Store and head to Manage Apps.

Google will then take them to a new UI that shows the list of apps installed on a device, and from there, users may choose to uninstall them when clicking. They may also choose to sort the list to reveal the storage used, a nifty feature that helps identify which apps take up space the most.

It may help for inaccessible devices due to low storage, helping free up space to work again.

Google and its Play Store for Android

Like many app marketplaces in the world today, Google's Play Store for the Android platform brings many features for users to enjoy, and this is a must as it is the place where people will browse apps and services available. One of the top features the company recently added was the ability to receive 'Purchase Requests' and this will ask for approval whenever buying an app at all times.

There is also a more intuitive section in the Play Store, in case you are not aware, with the 'Offers' tab which brings a collection of the featured apps with limited-time promos, discounts, or events. What gives this significance is that it details the limited-time offers from different developers that focus on sales and what they have to bring for users, along with ratings and the duration of the discounted price.

Amidst the massive antitrust issues faced by Google with its Android Play Store, it is still a marketplace worth checking out, also ensuring security for all downloads to avoid breaches and problems. Now, the latest feature that will arrive soon or is already available is under the Google System Updates that allows the user to uninstall Android apps remotely, via the Play Store.
