As per The Verge, Samsung will be showcasing the company's latest innovative robot vacuum at the Consumer Electronics Show 2024, called the Bespoke Jet Bot Combo. A robot vacuum will reportedly serve not only as an AI-operated vacuum but as a mop that can steam consumers' floors.

According to Samsung, the new robot vacuum "improves its usability" by utilizing the company's most recent artificial intelligence technology, according to Moohyung Lee, EVP and Head of the Customer Experience Team of Digital Appliances Business at the Korean giant.

According to The Verge, this is the first iteration of the tech giant's Jet Bot Robot vacuum to offer both vacuum and mop functions, and it's the most recent upgrade since the model was released in 2021.

Specifically, the AI-driven vacuum is equipped with improved AI object recognition to help the robot vacuum identify stains and space, supposedly giving consumers a more effective cleaning experience.

A Vacuum with AI Capabilities

The Bespoke Jet Bot Combo is stated to employ artificial intelligence to help it explore a consumer's home, much like most high-end robot vacuums. Samsung's AI technology, first seen on the Jet Bot AI Plus, enables the robot to avoid obstacles by identifying typical home objects and avoiding them when needed.

To make sure the robot vacuum stays out of specific places, it recognizes and classifies mapping locations like a living room and kitchen. It also automatically proposes setting up "no-go zones" like the bathroom, the veranda, or the entryway. In the meantime, the Bespoke Jet Bot Combo will reportedly return to the clean station to heat the mop pads using steam and water at a high degree and then leave the area when it detects a stain.

Its powerful spinning mops, which spin at 170 RPM, are said to be able to remove even tough stains. This results in very effective autonomous cleaning that reduces human involvement in various contexts.

The robot vacuum has enough intelligence to identify different types of flooring. Thanks to a feature dubbed AI Floor Detect, it can distinguish between carpets and hard floors. Additionally, it can determine if the mop pads should be removed from the base before vacuuming rugs or elevated to clean carpets.

Consumer Electronics Show 2024
