One of the innovative features of the Apple Vision Pro is its removable battery, which is unique to current releases from Cupertino as all are using built-in ones, but the battery cable to the wearable is known for being locked-in. This security feature can be removed using the provided tool for the mixed-reality headset. Still, a recent discovery said that users might opt for the iPhone's SIM eject tool as a fitting alternative.

While many people do not bring either of these tools, especially with eSIMs now available, users may bring one for a "two birds, one stone" solution for both devices.

The Apple Vision Pro offers a way to change your batteries on the headset quickly, but what happens when you do not bring the specific tool from the box? It is not a problem, as a user named Ray Wong shared via X that there is a simple solution for this: using the iPhone's SIM eject tool that fits on the insertion part of the battery that releases the cable lock.

Cupertino designed the removable battery to be locked whenever the cable is inserted, and this is both a security and safety measure so that the cell will not be easily taken out.

By inserting the SIM eject tool on the Vision Pro's battery pack, users can release the lock on the Lightning cable-looking connector that helps transmit the power to the mixed-reality wearable.

Easily Remove Battery Packs on Vision Pro If it Runs Out

While the Vision Pro's solo battery pack that comes with the mixed-reality headset is available right out of the box, users might need more power and less waiting time to continue the experience. The Vision Pro's removable battery can go up to 2.5 hours of video playback and only 2 hours of general use, said Apple, but may also opt for plugging it in so that it would not run out of juice.

At $199.00, users may get another official-release battery pack for their Vision Pro for on-the-go or wireless use.

Apple Vision Pro and What it Brings for Users

Many looked forward to the upcoming arrival of the Apple Vision Pro, and this is because Cupertino's wearable space computer is set to bring massive features for those who own or experience it. Still, it faced concerns and reservations for the headset as many regard its exclusivity, especially as it may only be used with Apple devices, with few first-party apps available.

Apple promised massive features with the Vision Pro, including the high resolution of its lenses that will bridge the virtual world from the real world, but early reviewers claimed that there are limitations to it. That being said, it was regarded as the "best" headset in its category, and The Verge said that it still offers the promise of a wide range of experiences.

There will be issues and some aspects of exclusivity on the Vision Pro, knowing that it is Apple-made, but it is safe to say that it is still its first take on mixed-reality headsets, unlike competitors.

One of the nifty features of the Vision Pro is its removable battery, which users may easily swap out, offering a way to never run out of power, which is available to remove via the SIM eject tool.
