A new feature on Threads is what many people have requested from Meta, and it is the Bookmark capability that will allow users to save various posts or conversations for later. For now, the company is testing the feature among select users on the platform, and this will be subject to the company's study on how it will be used and what more to improve from the feature.
Its rival, X (previously Twitter) had this bookmarking feature long available in its platform, with Threads only starting to offer this capability to its patrons.
Bookmark Posts Feature Now Available on Threads

A new update from Instagram CEO Adam Mosseri announced the arrival of a "heavily requested feature" from its users, and it is the Bookmark posts capability on Threads. Through this feature, users may be allowed to save specific posts or conversations to read for later, allowing an easy way to access these saved posts to revisit whenever users want to.
However, it is still on a limited test, says Mosseri, which means that only selected individuals in unknown countries or regions will get to have this feature available to use.
For now, a limited number of people will see a new dedicated button for saving bookmarked posts, alongside its dedicated tab where these are all compiled.
According to the official Threads account on the platform, this bookmarking feature will be called "Save" instead of-well, bookmark-now on its limited testing. However, this test will not be experimental only that has a chance to be removed later.
This feature will soon arrive in the Threads app in the future, promising its users to get this latest experience on the app, especially those who have awaited and requested it.
Meta Threads and its New Features
Surely, there is still a comparison between Threads and X, as both are similar platforms, and the latter is the tried and tested social media available in the industry. However, that does not make Threads inferior to X, despite it only offering the Bookmarks feature now, especially with its grand Europe launch also seeing a delay of as much as five months later.
For several weeks back in 2023, there have been various updates from Instagram's CEO Adam Mosseri and Meta's CEO Mark Zuckerberg regarding the new features on Threads.
One of the most iconic features made available to the public was the Edit button on Threads, one that does not ask for a subscription or additional payment to access.
Different features are now available to access including posting GIFs, starting polls, showing a 'For You' feed, and more available on Meta's text-based platform. The latest from the renowned social media company now centers on a Bookmark feature for Threads, allowing users to follow a specific conversation and have it saved for later or for receipt purposes, coming widely soon for all to access.
