Using Google Meet on smartphones will bring a new experience with Companion Mode, the renowned feature for the desktop experience that offers "interactive features and controls" for users. Through this, users may access the feature either individually or by going into the call with audio or video conferencing systems on hand, offering improved connections with minimal interruptions.

The latest Google Meet feature considers how mobile devices play into account for video conferencing needs, as not all places or situations call for computer use.

Google Meet and its Features

The era of the pandemic may be over, but video conferencing apps are still playing a massive role in the world now, especially for those in the remote work setup or proceeding with remote meetings. There is a way to transform your background into whatever you like, but there is also a feature called 360-Degree Virtual Background that allows a way for users to go to different spots without any interruptions.

Meet was transformed to bring significant features that will allow users to easily connect with their friends, family, colleagues, and the like over the past years and updates available.

One feature Google brought is allowing to easily share files, links, and more for the video conferencing platform, no longer needing to rely on other apps or experiences for this ability.

AI is also playing a massive role on Google Meet now, centering on generative AI technology and the chatbot readily available to adhere to one's needs while on the call. In the latest update of Google for the Meet platform, the renowned Companion Mode is available to turn on before joining a call via smartphone devices, having the option to get the renowned feature to work well with accessories and the like.
