AI was only the start for NVIDIA, and much so was revealed when it introduced its 'Project GR00T,' its new development that looks to advance a foundational model for application on humanoid robots. Through an 'embodiment' process, it is possible to deliver humanlike actions, emotions, reactions, and more to bring the evolution of robots.
In this development by NVIDIA, it looks to leverage its technology and resources to create the foundational model and deliver the embodiment to life.

"Building foundation models for general humanoid robots is one of the most exciting problems to solve in AI today," said NVIDIA founder and CEO, Jensen Huang. "The enabling technologies are coming together for leading roboticists around the world to take giant leaps towards artificial general robotics."
Alongside this, the company also announced its Jetson Thor Robot Computer under the NVIDIA Isaac robotics platform for robot training simulator, powered by the NVIDIA Thor SoC, based on the Blackwell architecture.

The Embodiment of AI: Humanoid Robots Coming?
NVIDIA also announced that it is now working closely with robotics companies with its current development of the comprehensive AI platform. It partnered with the likes of Agility Robotics, Boston Dynamics, Figure AI, Unitree Robotics, and XPENG Robotics to accelerate the development of AI's embodiment for automated machines.
Humanoid robot workers or incorporating these machines into the world's daily lives is part of NVIDIA and its partners' goals in this development.
NVIDIA's Massive AI Push
In its annual event NVIDIA, the company delivers massive developments and future tech for the world to see, but in GTC 2024, it made its massive push on AI and where the company stands. This is evidenced by the significant shift of the company towards artificial intelligence development, centering on its chips that would help develop it, alongside the AI features available on its tech.
One of the most significant announcements of NVIDIA is the more capable and powerful AI chip that is coming soon for all, the B200 processor that goes beyond being a GPU. The GB200 Grace Blackwell Superchips are touted to be more powerful compared to its previous flagship, the H100, in preparation for the growing needs of the AI industry to train and create future models and experiences.
The ramping developments of NVIDIA's dive towards the AI world are seeing a significant push from the company, now looking to bring a new kind of intelligence in the form of humanlike machines. Project GR00T is an embodiment of NVIDIA's focus on next-gen AI, looking to help the embodiment process of humanoid robots, one that could bring it to life.
