Peacock is now ramping up its efforts for its 2024 Paris Olympics coverage, which will air later this Summer. The streaming platform is introducing upcoming features like the Discovery Multiview.
With over 40 live events soon taking place simultaneously, Peacock is offering viewers a chance to pick their preferred games, among other features, for an extensive Olympics experience.
An estimated 5,000 hours of live coverage will be available during the 2024 Olympics, with Peacock and NBC Universal looking to offer an immersive experience for the world's largest sporting event.
Peacock: Discovery Multiview Coming this 2024 Paris Olympics

According to Peacock, the Discovery Multiview will let fans choose their preferred events to stream. They can choose four tiles to bring up to their screens. This offers simultaneous streams of the Olympics' events taking place from July 26 to August 11.
It will also display "real-time, on-screen descriptions from NBCU's Olympic experts" and leverage their preferred events or games. Users could also choose which sport will have audio and they may also choose the event they want to watch in full screen.
On the other hand, the traditional Multiview will stream sports like soccer, track & field, and wrestling. These experiences will be available on smart TVs, web browsers, streaming devices, and tablets and will be under testing this spring.

More Features on Peacock's 2024 Olympics Coverage
Live Actions is also coming, with Peacock offering a tool to help users choose their "viewing journey during live and primetime coverage" and which sports to follow.
Under this is the Gold Zone, which offers a "whip-around" show that will feature the best and most exciting moments during the 2024 Paris Olympics from 7 AM to 5 PM ET. Users may also choose to watch the entire event featured in the Gold Zone.
Peacock's Streaming Platform
NBC Universal's take on streaming is with Peacock, the platform known for competing against massive rivals, including Netflix, Disney+, Apple TV, Hulu, and more.
It offers a massive library with top NBC shows and Peacock Originals, including the arrival of last year's Five Nights at Freddy's movie adaptation, which was released theatrically and to the platform.
Apart from this, Peacock is also known for its renowned titles like The Office (US), Twisted Metal's series adaptation, Parks and Recreation, and more from NBC's local channels on its premium plan tier.
More recently, Peacock is best known for its live streaming of the NFL Super Bowl LVIII, raking up a massive record of 23 million average streams for the anticipated football playoffs.
The streaming platform already proved itself capable of showcasing live sporting events, and it is time for it to go to the next level with the upcoming 2024 Paris Olympics.
Peacock's latest announcement only shows that it is ready for the nearing world-class sporting event, featuring the Live Actions, Gold Zone, and Discovery Multiview for a wide streaming experience for this year's Olympics.
