Apple has yet again achieved another milestone that effectively brings them back to the good ol' days, with Mac now leading the global PC shipments for Q1 2024.

This was reportedly the same as the pre-pandemic levels when Apple made high numbers with the Mac, going against global leaders in PC shipments like Dell, Lenovo, HP, and other manufacturers.

For the past years, significantly low numbers have been recorded regarding global PC shipments, and the bouncing-back industry is seeing a massive performance.

Acer followed the company with 9.2 percent, and Lenovo came in at third with 7.8 percent.

Mac Returns to Pre-Pandemic Levels

According to 9to5Mac's report, the latest growth numbers for Apple are similar to those of its pre-pandemic levels, and while it is still not yet leading in volume, it is a good indication of the company's computer performance.

Apple's Mac and its Development

However, it was not something that brought their spirits down, and its CEO, Tim Cook, envisioned that there would be a turning point for the company as the M3 arrived, stating that its technology could help boost its sales and performance.

Apart from the M3's technology, it also ushered in a new era for the company, and it is with Mac Gaming, with more titles being ported to the latest M-series chips, opened up new experiences for all. With the technology, Apple is slowly expanding the features available on the computers, with M3 touted as the strongest and most capable device of all presently.

Mac's change to the M-series chip gave Apple a new future where it focuses on slightly cheaper devices that bring significant improvements to its performance and capabilities for users to enjoy.

Fast forward to almost four years with the M-series, Apple regained its former glory for Mac computers, now reporting pre-pandemic level numbers and leading the global PC growth and shipments.
