New year, new iPhone 16 colors, and this is what people have expected from Apple for their annual release of the famed smartphone lineup that gets several updates yearly.

This year's base models of the iPhone 16, and even with the Pro, were reportedly not featuring any major changes to its design, but there are new colors, according to people familiar with its development.

The iPhone 16 is known for featuring the vibrant side of Apple's smartphone lineup, with last year featuring Blue, Pink, Yellow, Green, and Black.

iPhone 16 New Colors: Here's What is Coming from Apple

A new leak on Weibo is now claiming that there will be new colors coming for the iPhone 16 lineup, with Apple ushering in two new colors to add from its last year's releases.

The iPhone 15 series has five colors to choose from, but for the iPhone 16, there would be two additional color choices for the base variant and the iPhone 16 Plus.

The iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus colors are as follows:

Blue
Pink
Yellow
Green
Black
White (new)
Purple (new)

However, it is important to note that this is only a rumor and not much has been confirmed by Apple for the upcoming smartphone lineup. Other renowned analysts or leakers have not yet corroborated this information.

What to Expect From the iPhone 16

The iPhone 16 would feature the latest of what Apple has to offer, but it was said that there would not be any major changes coming with the new smartphone, with it being close to the tech available on the iPhone 15.

However, there are many rumors regarding a new physical 'Action' button for the Pro variants, several camera changes and improvements for all devices, and new A-series chipsets.

Apple's iPhone 16 Lineup

There are many rumors already available in the tech industry for the changes coming to the upcoming iPhone 16 lineup, with Apple facing rumors about massive changes or no changes at all.

One rumor pointed to new renders about the base variant's camera design, said to be revamping its look and making it similar to what the iPhone X rear camera bump looks like.

Moreover, there will be significant upgrades for the iPhone 16 and it does not only point out the new A-series chip to power the smartphone. First off, it will reportedly get a new heatsink that would prevent the overheating issues found on the iPhone 15.

Next, there are reported claims that Apple will fit a bigger RAM that would help improve the smartphone's performance.

The iPhone 16, despite being the base version, is still a popular lineup among Apple's smartphone offers, and one of its main selling points is the creative colors available.

In this release, it will have as many as seven colors to sell, adding two more compared to last year's iPhone 15, now offering White and Purple as part of the lineup for its 2024 availability.
