Last week, Google Podcasts officially shut down, and YouTube Music is now the place to be for all podcast content from the internet company, touting the streaming platform for all needs.

That said, YouTube Music is now working on improving the service more than it offered before, and several changes have already been made available to global users. 

The new features and experiences are now available for users to enjoy, looking at a more comprehensive podcast feature for YouTube Music.

YouTube Music Podcasts Get Massive Improvements

YouTube Music's Podcasts team revealed the latest improvements available on the platform, detailing the features that users may now access as per their posts on Reddit.

These features were the initially promised "more improvements," which the team has been working on since the shutdown, looking to continue more of the experience on the YouTube platform. 

According to the Podcasts team, these features are now available for global users who are exploring the podcast experience on YouTube Music. 

The changes include sorting podcast episodes from newest to oldest (and vice versa), according to the most popular, or by default. Additionally, it also adds "Recommended shows" for users outside the US. 

Lastly, it improved the search results, which will help make it more accurate to find your preferred talks.

Significant improvements have been made to YouTube Music in the past months, centering on offering a more intuitive platform for all kinds of listeners, paired with its massive library.

Some features include adding song credits, Now Playing Tab enhancements where users may add comments, smart downloads, a sleep timer, and more.

That being said, YouTube Music remains a great alternative or the place to be for podcast needs if one is looking for an enhanced Google Podcasts experience.

The recent shutdown of Google Podcasts paved the way for YouTube Music to capture an entirely new market for its streaming platform, enhancing and improving more of the app's experiences.
