Microsoft's last Xbox One bundle featured two Assassin's Creed titles that, along with the console's new $349 price point, helped Microsoft outsell the PlayStation 4 throughout the holiday season.

That bundle is hard to find now, but Microsoft will soon be replacing it with another bundle that is a dream come true for Halo fans. This latest Xbox One bundle (without kinect) is priced at $349 and comes with Halo: The Master Chief Collection for free. Considering the huge amount of content in the Master Chief Collection (four story campaigns, hundreds of multiplayer maps and access to the Halo: Nightfall live-action series), nabbing a console and some of the Xbox's most revered games all in one package is a hard to deal to pass up if you've been waiting on the fence about upgrading to an Xbox One.

The bundle includes a download for the collection of Halo titles rather than a physical disc, but still, it's hard to complain. Thankfully this bundle is coming just a few days after the release of a massive Master Chief Collection patch designed to improve the game's performance across the board, particularly its matchmaking function.

For months after release the title was plagued with problems, chief among them the game's broken matchmaking system. Players could wait in lobbies for upwards of 15 to 20 minutes and never find a game, and when they did, teams were often unbalanced. It made for a frustrating experience for gamers during the holiday season who wanted to relive the glory days of playing Halo 2 online.

The game's technical problems were no doubt disappointing, but developer 343 Industries has worked to right its wrongs by continually updating the title over the last several months. The developer also announced new content coming to Master Chief Collection in the near future in the form of the complete Halo 3: ODST campaign and a brand new Halo 2: Anniversary remastered map.

A whole other campaign mode being added to the game this year is just icing on the cake for those who will be saving a significant wad of cash by getting this bundle. No word on how long this bundle will be around for, so if you're a Halo fan waiting to upgrade to an Xbox One, you likely won't get a better chance than this.
