The new flagship phone of HTC is yet to be unwrapped this month but it already has starred in a 12-minute video on YouTube.

The unofficial "review" video was uploaded by a certain Roshan Jamkatel from Illinois. The video has been removed by the young publisher who also claims on his Twitter account that he is a video prankster. However, the damage has been done and the video has been spread by other Internet users.

Jamkatel opens the video by declaring that the video was recorded Feb. 19, 2014 and went on by comparing the older flagship model to the upcoming iteration of the handset.

The new look of HTC One seem to be consistent with leaked photos of the device. It has a second camera on its back just near its top edge and it also comes with a dual flash. The M8 also has a slot for an SD card but the designers just made minor tweaks on the overall look of the smartphone.

The new flagship showed that its running on HTC Sense 6 and the latest version of the user interface of the manufacturer. This comes with a refreshed Blinkfeed that now does not come as a homescreen replacement but as an additional one that pops from the left side of the display.

The video certainly caught the attention of HTC with senior global online communication manager of HTC threatening Jamkatel that he will be in trouble.

"It's not going to be a good week for you, my friend," Jeff Gordon or @urbanstrata on the micro-blogging site said in a tweet that seemed to have been deleted.

"we have the IMEI and all other info. We'' be in touch," the HTC manager posted in another tweet that was eventually deleted.

Jamkatel replied to Gordon by saying the handset is fake but HTC captured all the information that it needs.

Before the tweets were cleared, a Google+ user was able to capture the conversation.

When asked by another Twitter user why the messages were deleted, Gordon replied with a short explanation.

"Ongoing investigation," he tweeted.

Then when another user asked Gordon to leave the kid alone, referring to Jamkatel, he aired what could be the stand of HTC.

"Leaks and broken NDAs have concrete financial harm," Gordon said in a tweet.

Jamkatel, through his Twitter account now denies that he uploaded the video.

"I never posted it, someone else did, i was waiting til it came out," Jamkatel tweeted. "no i dont have a YouTube yet."

While the world is waiting for the official unveiling of the HTC M8 on March 25, the leaked video might have helped create additional stir given its predecessor was a flop.
