Another Friday, another Netflix Original Series premieres. Season 1 of the new drama Bloodline premieres on Netflix Instant Streaming in its entirety today. With a basic premise that focuses on the black sheep of Florida's prominent Rayburn family and his threat to expose the clan's deepest, darkest secrets, Bloodline is sure to be yet another Netflix Original Series you'll be forced to binge-watch.

Nothing gives us more joy or brings us more sorrow in our lives than family. That's probably why so many TV dramas explore familial relationships and why we just can't stop watching them. After you stream Bloodline, there's plenty more family drama available on Netflix Instant Streaming to keep you satisfied. Be sure to add these 11 dramas to your queue next.

1. Gilmore Girls (2000-2006)

Mothers and daughters around the world try, but no one can compete with the fast-talking, pop culture reference-dropping, always loving duo that is Lorelai and Rory Gilmore. Just watch the first episode, and you'll wish you could be a Gilmore too.

2. Shameless (2004-2012)

You may have seen the American version of Shameless, which is currently airing on Showtime, but some people say there's nothing better than the original. You can watch nine seasons of the original U.K. version of Shameless on Netflix Instant Streaming now, that is, if you can handle the rambunctious life of single father Frank Gallagher and his eight children.

3. Weeds (2005-2012)

It can be hard to juggle everything when you're a mom. That's especially true if you happen to be a mom and a marijuana dealer like Nancy Botwin is in Weeds.

4. Heroes (2006-2009)

You could say that Heroes is a show about ordinary people with extraordinary abilities, and you'd be right. However, the many family secrets in this show, soon to be rebooted by NBC as a limited event series, are actually more fascinating than the super powers.

5. Friday Night Lights (2006-2010)

Before Bloodline, Kyle Chandler's last star turn on a TV show was of course Friday Night Lights, where he played Eric Taylor, the coach of the Dillon Panthers high school football team. However, this show is as much about what happens on the field as it is about what's going on at home.

6. Mad Men (2007-2013)

Mad Men's representation of family isn't always the most optimistic and probably not one you'd like to replicate in your own life. While much of the series seems to focus on the trials and tribulations of a Madison Avenue ad agency and its employees, deep down, it's really about all of the characters trying to find what home means to them.

7. Breaking Bad (2008-2012)

If you know anything about Breaking Bad, you know that its main protagonist Walter White is a father, husband and high school chemistry teacher by day and a meth cook by night. Let's just say it gets increasingly more difficult for Walter to keep up appearances.

8. Sons of Anarchy (2008-2013)

Not only does this series detail the exploits of the tightknit, ride or die motorcycle that is the Sons of Anarchy, but it is also loosely based on William Shakespeare's Hamlet, one of the most twisted family tales of them all.

9. Parenthood (2010-2013)

If you want family drama, look no further than Parenthood, which recently ended its six-season run on NBC. This series, based on the 1989 Ron Howard movie of the same name, follows the ups and downs that life has in store for the Braverman family. What's great about this show is that it depicts family life so well, from being a child to a parent and everything in between.

10. Bates Motel (2013-2014)

Norman Bates and his mother might just be the most famous mother-son duo in the world — or should I say infamous? Season 3 of this prequel to Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho is currently airing on A&E, but you can catch the first two seasons on Netflix now and see how Norman became one of the most notorious villains in movie history.

11. House of Cards (2013-2015)

House of Cards isn't all about politics. It's also about the marriage of Frank and Claire Underwood, both of whom are equally cutthroat and ruthless as they stop at nothing to get what they want in Washington, D.C. OK, so maybe it is really all about politics.
