Arrow is one of the hottest TV shows on CW, but unlike The Flash, the show is stumped in realism. However, that will soon change with the introduction of the Lazarus Pit.

By now, every comic book fan should have an idea what the Lazarus Pit is, and what it is capable of doing. For those who are unaware, the Lazarus Pit is the very thing that allows Ra's al Ghul to be immortal. Every time he ages, he goes into the Pit become younger again.

The Lazarus Pit isn't only for keeping folks ageless; it is also great for healing severe wounds and bringing someone back from the dead. Yes, the Pit is that powerful, and it could be the reason why Sara Lance will return to Arrow, because from all indications, she is dead and has been buried for quite some time.

Arrow's executive producer, Marc Guggenheim, made it clear that the Lazarus Pit is coming to Arrow. According to Guggenheim, the world of magic fits well in Arrow, but superpowers do not. Yes, we've seen superpowers before, but magic is something that can still allow the show to keep its realistic vibe going.

"All year long we've been teasing what comic book fans know as the Lazarus Pit. We'll learn a lot more about that in 316." Guggenheim continued, "The world of magic fits pretty well into the world of Arrow. We've already seen superpowers on the show. Once you've seen superpowers, the occult and magic — that actually fits better in Arrow than superpowers."

We can only hope the show goes further into magic and the supernatural, because while the realism is good, it is making it almost impossible for certain DC villains to make an appearance. Furthermore, it is safe to say The Flash, since airing its first episode, has shown that Arrow isn't as awesome as fans once thought it was.

It is now time for a change, and many magic and supernatural elements are what the show needs to keep fans interested and coming back for more every week.
