Ever since Watchmen, we haven't really seen a lot of Jackie Earle Haley. However, this might change should he be picked by Warner Bros. to play the role of the Thinker in Suicide Squad.

Thinker is not a popular DC character, but despite that, he shouldn't be considered a pushover by no means. The character wears a thinking cap that allows him to achieve the powers of telekinesis and mind control to defeat his enemies. This description might sound like a villain from Gotham, but, in fact, Thinker is from Central City.

The Flash goes up against him on several occasions and at times the Thinker manages to overpower the scarlet speedster.

We should point out that the Thinker has traded blows with Batman, Firestorm, and others before. We wouldn't be too surprised if he shows up in Arrow currently being aired on The CW.

Should Warner Bros. choose to add the Thinker to Suicide Squad, we expect the studio to venture down this path with the first incarnation of the character. His name is Clifford DeVoe and he is the first Thinker to become a member of the Suicide Squad.

Yes, several villains and not just DeVoe use the name Thinker. However, as noted, he is the first.

We suspect that any appearance by Jackie Earle Haley as the Thinker will be done by means of a cameo. Making him an enormous part of the movie could risk making the principal cast overcrowded, so expect to see the Thinker locked up in either Arkham or ARGUS.

For now, just take this piece of information as a rumor.

Suicide Squad will be Warner Bros' third movie to help flesh out the DC Cinematic Multiverse. The film is expected to begin production by the beginning of April, and the release date is set for August 2016.

Fans should brace themselves for characters such as Deadshot, Harley Quinn, The Joker, Boomerang, Enchantress, Amanda Waller, and Rick Flag. Earlier rumors claim Lex Luthor might make an appearance, and so could the deadly assassin Deathstroke.
