If you are an Xbox gamer that has been waiting to get your hands on some new games, you won't have to wait much longer. Next month Microsoft will be doubling the number of free games that come with a subscription to Xbox Live gold from three to six.

Xbox 360 owners will be getting the most out of the deal, with four free games coming their way next month. Through April 1-15, 360 gamers can snag Gears of War: Judgement and Terraria free.

For the remainder of the month Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag will be available for free alongside Army of Two: The Devil's Cartel.

If you are playing on Xbox One, you can download Ubisoft's artistic RPG Child of Light as well as Pool Nation FX. Both games will be available for free throughout the month of April.

From what we can tell this double offering of free games is just for the month of April. It's a great selection to be sure. Fans of third-person shooters will find plenty to enjoy in Gears of War, and Terraria is one of the best Minecraft inspired building titles on the market.

Co-op gamers can blast their way their way through Army of Two as well and who doesn't like playing as a pirate and conquering the high seas?

Child of Light received stellar reviews when it released last year and is one of the more high-profile games to go free on the Xbox One since the launch of the Games With Gold program. Pool FX, well, if you like pool it's a fun way to kill some time.

If you have yet to download Xbox's free games for March, you better move fast. Bioshock Infinite on Xbox 360 and Rayman Legends on Xbox One are currently free to download for Xbox Live gold members until the end of the month.
