The Road to WrestleMania is almost over.

On Sunday, the biggest names in the WWE will meet at the biggest sports entertainment event of the year.

For over three decades, WrestleMania has defined what professional wrestling is all about, and for many, it's the best part of the entire year.

It is the Super Bowl of the WWE — for millions of people around the world, it's the reason to watch pro wrestling. In fact, the entire WWE year builds up to this one night. Thankfully, the moment is almost upon us.

Watching WrestleMania used to be relatively simple, but nowadays, there are so many different ways to watch that it can get confusing.

Whether it's your first time watching, or you've been a WrestleMania fan since the beginning, this guide will show you exactly where, when and how to watch the big event.

Date: Sunday, March 29

Time: 7 p.m. - 11.p.m. EDT

As with all pay-per-views, WrestleMania will be held on Sunday. However, the scheduling is a bit different than most other events: WrestleMania technically begins at 5 p.m. EDT, thanks to a two-hour preshow — then, at 7 p.m., the show itself begins and will run for roughly four hours. So, not only does it start an hour earlier than usual, but it runs for an hour longer than other PPVs — make sure to plan your party in advance.

Where to Watch

This is where things get a bit complicated, and where you watch the show is dependent on what exactly you want to watch. If you're looking for the main event and nothing else, then you'll have different options from someone who wants to watch the preshow alongside WrestleMania. As long as you know where to look and what you want to watch, it's not that hard to figure out — it's mostly about getting pointed in the right direction.

WrestleMania Preshow

Starts at: 5 p.m. EDT

The easiest way to watch the WrestleMania Preshow is through the WWE Network. The entire two-hour preshow will be available on the WWE Network, and the main event will follow immediately. However, the network isn't the only way to watch the preshow: the WWE is streaming the first hour through a number of different social networks, including (but not limited to) Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and Google+. Again, it's only the first hour — after that, the second half of the preshow will be a WWE Network exclusive.

WrestleMania Main Show

Starts at: 7 p.m. EDT

When it comes to watching the main show, there are two different options: traditional pay-per-view via cable provider or the WWE Network. Traditional pay-per-view costs will vary depending on your specific provider and any HD options, but expect to pay the standard $59 regardless of carrier. It's also a very basic package: you'll get one viewing of WrestleMania, and that's it. While the traditional PPV set up may be the most convenient option for some, it's far from the most cost-effective.

That's where the WWE Network comes in. Originally, the network came with a six-month commitment — you were still paying $9.99 a month, but you were locked in for at least six months. That commitment no longer exists, so it's entirely possible to buy a single month's subscription, watch WrestleMania and cancel immediately afterward. Granted, the network is a great value for those who want access to the WWE's PPVs year-round, but for those looking at WrestleMania and nothing else, it's easily the cheapest option.

Better yet, the WWE Network works on just about everything: you can watch it on both Xbox consoles, both PlayStation consoles, Apple TV, Roku, smart TVs, Amazon Fire TV and most tablets. All you have to do is download the WWE app and sign in — once that's done, you're set to go. For a full list of every device the WWE Network is available on, you can head over to the WWE's official information page.

WrestleMania is the Show of Shows, but that doesn't meant anyone wants to sift through a bunch of different options just to find out how to watch it. With our guide, you'll know where to go — just sit back, relax and watch men and women beat the tar out of each other. If you're looking to sign up for the WWE Network, head on over to the official site.
