A lot of people are concerned over the fact that Batman is posing with what appears to be a high-powered rifle in the first Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice teaser trailer.

Well, if we should go by the comic, the gun is useless and only serves as a means to get Batman from one place to the other. In the Dark Knight Returns, there is a scene where Batman uses a rifle as a grappling gun to go across a building where Two-Face and his men are plotting something devastating.

Throughout this scene, Batman never used the weapon in a way that would harm anyone. The sole purpose was for grappling, and that was all it was used for.

We can't say for sure that Ben Affleck is not carrying a deadly rifle on his back, but if Zack Snyder is taking notes from Frank Miller's comic, then the chances of the weapon being a grappling gun is very high.

Another thing we need to touch on is another part of the trailer where something that appears to be the Batwing flying above and shooting live rounds at criminals below. Fans have been wondering if Batman has become a killer in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, and with good reason.

We analyzed the scene multiple times, and we can't say for sure if this thing is indeed the Batwing. If it is, then we doubt Batman is in control, so someone could have hacked into it in an effort to frame Batman for murder. This could be a plot to make Batman a public enemy, a person who Superman needs to get out of the way for the good of the people.

We can't think of a single good reason for both men to fight unless one of them was deceived. Probably by Lex Luthor, because he would benefit greatly if one of these men will no longer be in the picture. Maybe the Batman has been a thorn in his side for years, and the best possible way to take him out is to have Superman, the golden boy, bring him to some form of justice.

Whatever the case may be, Batman and Superman are going to showdown, and it seems to be a fight no one would want to miss.
