Microsoft hasn't released a flagship Lumia Windows Phone in quite some time. A new report claims the company will release two flagship devices with high-end specs and Windows 10.

Windows Phone hasn't been the success Microsoft was banking on and the company is once again giving its smartphone OS a reboot, and this time, it will be powered by Windows 10. Microsoft recently revealed that it's running behind schedule on Windows 10 for smartphones and will not be launching the OS this summer as previously reported.

"Our phone builds have not been as far along as our PC builds," explained Joe Belfiore, Corporate Vice President, Operating Systems Group at Microsoft. "We're adapting the phone experiences later than we're adding the PC experiences."

That slower progress means Windows 10 on phones will show up after the PC launch this summer.

"There are devices and features that will come not on launch date, but following it," says Belfiore. "From the device view, our main focus is to kick off the Windows 10 launch wave with a great launch on the PC. You should expect that the other devices — phone, HoloLens, Xbox, Surface Hub — will be staggered, probably not on the same date as the PC."

When Microsoft does launch Windows 10 on smartphones, it reportedly will launch on two new flagship Lumia devices; a 5.2-inch smartphone codenamed "Talkman" and 5.7-inch phablet codenamed "Cityman."

The Lumia "Talkman" is said to feature a 5.2-inch 2560 by 1440 quad-HD display and Qualcomm-based six-core processor. It will include 32 GB of internal storage, a microSD expansion slot, and 3 GB of RAM. The smartphone will boast a 20 megapixel rear camera and 5 megapixel front facing camera and ship with a 3,000 mAh removable battery.

The Lumia "Cityman" will feature a 5.7-inch 2560 by 1440 quad-HD display and Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 or Snapdragon 808 octa-core processor. It will include 32 GB of internal storage, microSD expansion slot, and 3 GB of RAM. The phablet will pack a 20 megapixel rear camera, 5 megpixel front facing camera and a large 3,300 mAh removable battery.

The source claims that the Lumia "Talkman" and "Cityman" will both feature a triple-LED flash that will produce photos with the most natural colors.

As with all rumors of upcoming and unannounced smartphones, it's best to take this report with a grain of salt. We'll keep you posted on any new Lumia news as it becomes available.
