Fans of Marvel's Black Widow don't yet have a solo film to watch, but that didn't stop one fan from creating what could be the perfect title sequence for such a movie, were it to actually happen.

The title sequence, set to "Sour Times" by Portishead, is very James Bond. It fits with the spy theme we'd probably see in a Black Widow film, given that Natasha Romanova is less of a superhero and more of a spy.

What's even more impressive is that the creator of the YouTube video, Christopher Haley, came up with a plot he should sell to Marvel right away:

"Cut off one head, two more shall take it's place. . . For this speculative title sequence of a Black Widow film I decided Black Widow's villain would be. . . Black Widow. Yelena Belova, to be specific. Belova believes herself to be the superior Black Widow, and in some ways she is right."Swift and ruthless, Belova is the most talented assassin to graduate from the Red Room — and now she is Hydra's most deadly weapon. At Belova's side is a super-soldier of her own, Alexi Shostakov — the Red Guardian, who also happens to be Natasha's former lover. When the new heads of Hydra make a play for the power of the infinity stones it is up to S.H.I.E.L.D.'s top agent to stop them."

Needless to say, that plot sounds amazing. Haley also cast the film, keeping Johannson as Natasha, Black Widow — adding Rosamund Pike as the other Black Widow, Yelena Belova and Samuli Edelmann as Alexi Shostakov, Red Guardian. Also making an appearance would be Clark Gregg as SHIELD Agent Phil Coulson, along with fellow SHIELD agent Melinda May, to be played by Ming-Na Wen.

The video was Paley's final project for an Adobe After Effects class. We hope he got an "A." We also wouldn't mind if Marvel hired him for the real thing, especially with the surging fan demand for a Black Widow film. Her character might get the short end of the merchendise stick from Disney and Marvel — but she's still more popular than ever.

What's more likely, though, is that the SNL skit Johannson did recently will be the closest thing we'll ever see to a solo Black Widow outing.
