Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is the first big blockbuster of 2016. We've seen a lot about Batman and Superman, but what about that other character, Wonder Woman.

So far, we've seen one leaked teaser trailer and a full teaser trailer. Both have highlighted Batman and Superman, but none took the opportunity to bring Wonder Woman into the light. Don't fret though, because the latest leaked information is giving us hope that Diana Prince will turn out to be what we have always wanted.

According to Latino Review's El Mayimbe, via Instagram, Wonder Woman is old, ancient at that. Apparently, they have pictures of her dating back hundreds of years, so clearly she is an immortal being. If Batman knew about her, we doubt he would be too surprised about Superman. Furthermore, he must have heard about The Flash and other heroes in the world before Kal-El came to earth.

If this piece of information does hold water, it would mean that Warner Bros. and Zack Snyder are working with the pre-New 52 origins of the character. There, she is thousands of years old, but in the New 52, she's just a 23-year-old.

It makes sense for her to be an old immortal being; why else would Hippolyta wait thousands of years to have a child?

Now, this means Warner Bros. might not be too afraid to dig deep into the realm of magical characters. We already know Enchantress along with Shazam and Black Adam are on the table, but what about the Greek Gods? If they are following the pre-52 comics, then Wonder Woman is a half-God or was created by one.

The Wonder Woman solo movie was rumored to take place in the past, so that could be interesting.

Patty Jenkins will direct the Wonder Woman movie set for a June 23, 2017 release date. As for Batman v Superman, the film is set for March 2016. Wonder Woman won't play a huge role here, but she will appear in one form or another.
