With the F1 season drawing nearer, fans of the sport who were hoping to get in some reel action on Codemasters' impending F1 2015 release will be disappointed to learn that the game's release date has been pushed back by four weeks.

F1 2015 for Xbox One, PC and PS4 was slated to release on June 12, but now developer Codemasters has delayed the release by four weeks to July 10 instead for unknown reasons. Codemasters did not divulge the official reason and simply revealed the new release date.

"We have also moved the release date of this year's title from the 12th of June and as a result F1 2015 will now release on the 10th July in the UK, Europe and Australia. North America on the 21st July and Brazil will ship from the 24th," revealed the developer in an official blog post.

Earlier in March this year, Codemasters had stirred quite a bit of excitement when it revealed that it would be releasing the F1 2015 title in June 2015. What got fans even more excited was the fact that this would be the first title in the series to hit Xbox One and PS4.

However, to placate eager fans, Codemasters has released the first gameplay trailer and some screenshots for F1 2015, which aims to offer the "ultimate Formula One video game experience." The 22-second long trailer offers a peek into what gamers can expect from the impending game. Formula 1 buffs can relish the detailing of features such as a cockpit camera, weather effects, as well as celebrated race courses such as Monaco and Silverstone.

F1 2015 also runs on a novel engine and not only brings a new championship season mode gamers' way, but also a new pro season mode. Moreover, players can also indulge in the fully playable 2014 FIA Formula One World Championship, which is being offered as bonus content.

The game also has voice integration with the PS Camera and Kinect, which will enable gamers to make tyre requests, make queries such as weather or race information. The fact that the driver bears a semblance to Lewis Hamilton is pretty cool too!

Codemaster has previously let on that it is looking at 60fps for both PS4 and Xbox One and while the Sony console will likely benefit from 1080p, the Microsoft console will get 900p.

F1 2015 releases on July 10 in Europe and Australia. North America and Brazil will get the game on July 21 and July 24, respectively.
