Splatoon is the adorable non-violent shooter game for Wii coming out next month. The online multiplayer game will have players form teams to paint the arena with as much of their team color as they can — by shooting from their weapons as humans or changing into squid-form and splattering opponents.

The team with the most points – determined by the amount of land they cover with their color – wins the game. The characters in the game range from eccentric jellyfish to mischeivious cats. Check out the line-up right here:

Jelonzo

Jelonzo is quite difficult to understand, but he is nevertheless a successful clerk who runs the clothing shop.

Annie

Annie is a sea anemone who runs the gear shop along with Moe, a clownfish who lives in her head (literally!) and likes to talk big game but is afraid to leave Annie's tendrils.

Sheldon

Sheldon is a fanatic military horseshoe crab who loves staying up late into the night, playing and messing around with small parts. He can be found running the weapons shop.

Crusty Sean

Crusty Sean is a tiger shrimp who is "carelessly friendly" and has an obession with shoes. He wears a designer jacket that makes him look like a golden fried tempura and owns the shop Shrimp Kicks.

Judd

When he's not sleeping, Judd the Cat is doing an excellent job officiating Turf Wars. And he happens to do so in his very fortunately tuxedo patterned fur.

Cap'n Cuttlefish

Cap'n Cuttlefish fought in the great Turf Wars and uses his veteran expertise to watch over Octo Valley and the ever-present threat of invasion by the Octarians.
