A number of top-end smartphones have been announced this year, including the ASUS ZenFone 2 (ZE551ML), Sony Xperia Z3+ and the LG G4.

Here is the comparison of these smartphones:

The ZenFone 2 sports a 5.5-inch IPS LCD display with a 1920 by 1080 pixel resolution and 403 ppi.

The Xperia Z3+ has a smaller 5.2-inch IPS LCD display but the same display resolution of 1920 by 1080 pixels. However, the Xperia Z3+ has a display density of 424 ppi.

The LG G4 has the best display out of these three handsets as it sports a 5.5-inch IPS LCD display with a 2560 by 1440 pixel resolution and 538 ppi.

Processor

The ZenFone 2 (ZE551ML) runs on an Intel Atom quad-core processor clocked at 2 GHz.

The octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor clocked at 2 GHz powers the Xperia Z3+, which makes the handset one of the fastest smartphones available on the market.

"This advanced 64-bit Octa-core processor gives anything up to 50 percent more speed than previous processors," says Sony on its website.

The LG G4 houses a hexa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor clocked at 1.8 GHz

Camera

Most of the recent and upcoming smartphones usually come packed with top-end cameras.

The ASUS ZenFone 2 has a 13 megapixel primary camera with dual-LED flash and a 5 megapixel front-facing camera.

The Xperia Z3+ sports a massive 20.7 megapixel rear-facing camera with LED flash and 5 megapixel selfie camera.

The LG G4 is equipped with a 16 megapixel rear-facing camera with LED flash and an 8 megapixel front camera.

While all the handsets have good cameras, the LG G4 is the only one that has optical image stabilization (OIS), which compensates for shaking and vibration during use.

Battery

The ZenFone 2 includes a 3,000 mAh battery. The company does not provide estimated talk time, standby time and more that the battery is capable of offering.

The Xperia Z3+ has a 2,930 mAh battery that offers 17 hours of talk time and about 25 days of standby time. Sony also claims that the battery in the Xperia Z3+ is capable of playing 91 hours of music and more than nine hours of HD video.

The Xperia Z3+ comes with 32 GB of internal storage, but users have the option to increase the memory capacity to another 128 GB using a microSD card. 3 GB of RAM boosts the handset.

The ZenFone 2 measures 6.00 by 3.04 by 0.43 inches or 152.5 by 77.2 by 10.9 mm and weighs six ounces or 170 grams.
