Rumors of the Samsung Galaxy J7 smartphone have been surfacing for a while, and now, a Russian website confirms some specs of the upcoming handset.

User manuals of the Galaxy J5 and the Galaxy J7 were leaked recently, and the handsets were also spotted for trademark application at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). Some specifications of the Galaxy J7 also surfaced via China's Telecommunication Equipment Certification Center, or TENAA.

The latest specs leaks come from an online Russian retailer that has listed the Galaxy J7 with its specifications. A Twitter user called Jack Moon has posted a screenshot of the Russian retailer's Galaxy J7 listing that shows the handset in white.

If the latest leak is to be believed, then the Galaxy J7 will sport a 5.5-inch HD display with a 1280 by 720 pixel resolution. The listing suggests that the upcoming handset will be powered by an octa-core PXA1936 processor from Marvel, which will be clocked at 1.2 GHz. The Galaxy J7 is expected to come running on Android 5.0 Lollipop. However, the Galaxy J7 may also get future software updates such as Android 5.1 Lollipop or even the most anticipated Android M operating system.

The J7 will have 16 GB internal storage and a microSD card slot to increase the storage capacity of the device. The Galaxy J7 is estimated to include 1.5 GB of RAM and a 3000 mAh battery.

Nowadays, camera quality is an important feature that customers look at before buying a handset. The Galaxy J7 may sport a 13 MP primary camera and a 5 MP front-facing camera.

Previous rumors suggested that the Galaxy J7 will include the same TouchWiz user interface (UI) as found in the company's top-end Galaxy S6 and the Galaxy S6 Edge handsets.

Currently, the Galaxy J1 is the only handset in the Galaxy J series. The hardware specs and software features of the Galaxy J1 are meant for customers looking for an entry-level phone. However, the leaked specification of the Galaxy J7 suggests it is a mid-level handset.

Even though the specs of the Galaxy J7 are emerging regularly online, it is highly unlikely that the handset will be launched across the globe.
