Details on the upcoming OnePlus 2 have been scarce, and a drawing of the device is the first thing that has been revealed regarding how the smartphone will look like.

Chinese technology tipster KJuma has posted a "spy sketch" on Chinese microblogging network Weibo of the OnePlus 2. The sketch does not reveal much, but it is the closest thing currently known regarding the form of the smartphone.

KJuma, however has also claimed that the display of the OnePlus 2 will have measurements of between 5.5 inches and 5.7 inches diagonally, which could make the device slightly bigger than its predecessor, the OnePlus One, which packs a 5.5-inch display.

KJuma also said that the OnePlus 2 will have similar looks compared to the OnePlus One. However, there will be several small changes to the smartphone's design, such as twice as many holes for its speaker and a form factor that is thinner compared to its predecessor.

It is known that the OnePlus 2 will be faster than the OnePlus One, as it will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor. It has also been previously revealed that the OnePlus 2 will be among the first Android-based devices that will include USB-C technology.

The device will be unveiled on July 27 to answer all the questions pertaining to what the smartphone packs and is capable of. However, the unveiling of the OnePlus 2 will not be in the usual setting of a conference hall or an auditorium, as other smartphone manufacturers do. Instead, the OnePlus 2 will be unveiled in the world of virtual reality.

"In our industry, product launches tend to be the same. An auditorium, a keynote and a seated audience," said OnePlus director and founder Carl Pei. "For the OnePlus 2 launch, we didn't want that barrier between us and you; we want to invite you into our world, because you're a major part of it."

According to Pei, the attendees of the virtual reality event will be able to stand right next to the device's development team and could look around in all directions to inspect the smartphone, along with possibly discover any hidden Easter eggs in the event.

Contrary to previous reports, the OnePlus 2 will have a price that will be higher than $322. The smartphone's higher cost is due to the powerful Snapdragon 810 processor. In comparison, the 16GB OnePlus One had a price tag of $299 while the 64GB model had a price tag of $349.
