Moov's first foray into fitness trackers may looked more or less like an ordinary sports watch (albeit one without a display or watch face), but there likely won't be any mistaking its latest wearable for its competitors. Announced today, the Moov Now sports an all-new design that promises better breathability in addition to a distinct appearance.

The real selling point, though, is what's inside. Unlike most fitness trackers, the Moov Now promises to track your precise movement in a 3D space -- letting you wear it on your ankle to monitor your stride when running, for instance, or even wear one on each wrist to track your punches when boxing or improve the accuracy for swimming (it's fully waterproof for the latter).

As with its predecessor, there's no display to be found on the device, with Moov instead opting for a Siri-style assistant that coaches you in any one of five activities -- cycling and a general workout in addition to the aforementioned running/walking, cardio boxing, and swimming. It also, of course, pairs up with your smartphone (iOS and Android) to let you keep track of your progress or add music to your workouts, but it'll work on its own as well if you don't want to strap a phone on your arm along with the Moov.

It's also notably one of the fitness trackers that doesn't need to be recharged. Instead of the usual lithium-ion battery, Moov has opted to use a standard, replaceable watch battery, which it says should last about six months with average use. You'll have to wait until this fall to get your hands on one, though, but Moov is accepting pre-orders now at a 40 percent discount off the MSRP:  $60 for one or $100 for a pair.
