Motorola's cryptic faux paper email invitation to a July 28 event in New York City and London is causing many to believe that the company will be unveiling new versions of its Moto X and Moto G flagship smartphones.

The invite shows off boldly that, "Your relationship is about to change." The bottom is also signed off as "XGX, Moto," rather than XOXO, for those who are sharp-eyed enough to notice the subtle hint.

Perhaps jumping on the curiosity triggered by leaked images of the latest Moto G, Motorola will livestream the cross-continental event at 9 a.m. E.T.

Will Motorola's newest editions to the Moto G and X really make us break up with our current smartphones? If the leaked images published on websites such as PocketNow prove to be the actual prototypes or working models of the phones, then the Moto G will have 2 GB of RAM and will be running pm a Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 SoC.

Some reports have also hinted that both phones may be waterproof.

The mid-range Moto G also might have a bit of something extra to offer users, customization. According to leaker, Evan Blass, as shared on his Twitter account, the new Moto G will be available through Motorola's Moto Maker to allow for a slew of customization options for things such as back cover design and more.

Although it remains to be seen what Motorola truly has in store for its July 28 event, it's a pretty safe bet that one or both of these smartphones may be on the roster given the amount of publicity the leaked photos have been getting.
