There have already been several information leakages about Motorola's upcoming Moto G 2015, and as such, consumers already have a pretty good idea on what to expect from the smartphone once it is officially unveiled in an event in New York City and London that is happening on July 28.

However, a pair of newly revealed images shows that there are still some things to know about the Moto G 2015. It seems that the smartphone will offer water resistance, as reported by news website Mobile Syrup.

The leaked images reveal the front and back of the Moto G 2015. In the image of the device's front, the protective film for the screen reveals that the smartphone will have an IPx7 Ingress rating, meaning that the Moto G 2015 can be completely submerged in water up to a depth of 1 meter and survive the ordeal.

The inclusion of the waterproofing feature, according to Mobile Syrup, is a strange decision by Motorola, but since the smartphone will mostly carry the same specifications as its previous model, the company may have thought that adding such features could entice customers to purchase the Moto G 2015.

The IPx7 water resistance feature could not be considered a breakthrough feature, but it could be an added bonus for users looking to purchase a smartphone on a tight budget.

Other features that can be seen on the protective film covering, the screen of the Moto G 2015 in the leaked images are 4G LTE connectivity, a 13MP rear-facing camera, a 5MP front-facing camera, a battery with a 2,470 mAh capacity, expandable memory through a micro SD card, and a quad-core processor.

Motorola has sent out email invitations for the July 28 event, and will be livestreaming the cross-continental unveiling of the Moto G 2015, along with the new Moto X, at 9 a.m. ET.

Users and experts will be anticipating for the Moto G 2015 to be revealed as a device that is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor with 2GB of RAM. In addition, the Moto G 2015 is also believed to be available through Motorola's Moto Maker, which will allow users to make a wide range of customizations on their purchased Moto G 2015 units.
