Oh what a lovely day! Warner Bros. has announced the exact date for when action junkies will be able to pick up a copy of Mad Max: Fury Road on Blu-ray, and that's not all.

The film is coming to Blu-ray on Sept. 1 and will come in a few varities. The Blu-ray 3D Combo pack will retail for $44.95, while the standard Blu-ray will go for $35.99. You can also snag the 2-disc DVD set for $28.98. Each version will come with deleted scenes and a behind-the-scenes look at how the film was made.

If the thought of waiting until Sept. doesn't suit your fancy, those who purchase the film digitally can own it starting on Aug. 11. 

That's all exciting in and of itself, but Warner Bros. also announced a four film, Mad Max Blu-ray anthology that will be releasing on Sept. 2 certain to arract long time fans of the franchise. The compilation set will include Mad Max, The Road Warrior, Mad Max: Beyond Thunderdome and Mad Max: Fury Road, as well as a documentary titled the "Madness of Max" and a set of Mad Max anthology trading cards. All that will retail for $89.98. 

Sept .1 might as well be officially dubbed Mad Max day, because in addition to the release of Mad Max: Fury Road on Blu-ray and the box set the following day, the long in production, open world Mad Max video game (simply titled Mad Max) will be releasing on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC. An Australian collector's edition of the game will come bundled with a Blu-ray copy of Fury Road and a miniature license plate. It's currently not known if the Mad Max: Apocalypse Edition will be releasing in other regions.
