Specifications for the LG G Flex 3 have already been leaked online, despite the LG G Flex 2 only being unveiled in January at the 2015 International Consumer Electronics Show.

The LG G Flex 3, the company's next high-end device, is scheduled for March of next year, which means that the information that mobile phone news website Mobipicker received came much earlier than expected.

The successor to the LG G Flex 2 will be featuring Qualcomm's Snapdragon 820 chipset, along with 4GB of RAM. The LG G Flex 3 is also said to have a 6-inch screen with 2K resolution, and that the device will have a body made out of metal.

Other information regarding the planned smartphone is that it will have an internal storage capacity of 32GB but will have an expandable memory option. The LG G Flex 3 will also feature a 20.7MP rear-facing camera and an 8MP front-facing camera.

All the leaked information are upgrades to the specifications of the LG G Flex 2, which features Qualcomm's Snapdragon 810 chipset, a smaller 5.5-inch screen, a 13MP rear-facing camera and a 2MP front-facing camera.

In addition to the specification upgrades, the LG G Flex 3 will also be having a new fingerprint scanner feature, which has become a popular feature among the latest smartphones being released. The fingerprint scanner for the LG G Flex 3 will be located in its power button.

The leaked information, however, did not indicate whether the LG G Flex 3 will keep the same button arrangement as found in its predecessor, where all controls are located on the device's back.

As the release of the device is still a long time away, price details for the LG G Flex 3 is not yet available. However, it is expected that the smartphone will command a premium price similar to the LG G Flex 2, which fetches prices from about $500 up to about $700.

The long time between the release of this leaked information and the official launch of the device could mean that there are some specifications that could still change between now and March of next year. The LG G Flex 3, once released, could very well be much different than what is described in the leaked information regarding the device.
