Samsung will be hosting the Galaxy Unpacked 2015 event in New York City on Aug. 13 to officially launch the Galaxy Note 5 and The Galaxy S6 Edge Plus. However, reports seem to indicate that the company is gearing up to reveal an additional device in its tablet line.

The latest rumors indicate that Samsung will be showcasing the Galaxy Edge Tablet on Aug. 13 along with the release of its newest smartphones. Early teaser photos on the Samsung website for the Galaxy Unpacked showed three devices stacked on top of each other.

Many have assumed that the first two devices are the Galaxy Note 5 and the Galaxy S6 Edge Plus, leading others to speculate that the third device could be a new Galaxy tablet -- perhaps even one with a curved screen.

Some could also argue that the third device is the Galaxy Tab S2, but Samsung had already launched two variants of the Tab S2, which are available at 8 inches and 9.7 inches, so there seems to be no point in adding it to the teaser for Galaxy Unpacked.

The photo has been removed from the website and replaced with a simple countdown timer for the event, but Android Authority posted this tweet with a screenshot of the original image, so you can have an idea what people have been speculating about.

Reports have stated that if Samsung is releasing the curved screen Galaxy Tab Edge, the specifications might include roughly the same features and specs of the Galaxy Tab S2, which is powered by an octa-core processor and 3 GB RAM.

Since all Samsung tablets have an IR sensor for remote control features and a micro-SD slot, the rumored Galaxy Tablet Edge will probably have the same features.

It is important to note that there are still no confirmed reports that the Galaxy Tab Edge exists, and Samsung could be unveiling a total different device come Aug. 13.

Another Samsung device reported to launch during the event is the Galaxy Gear A smartwatch, which is rumored to feature 4 GB of storage, 768 MB RAM, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi capability, a dual-core Exynos chipset and Tizen 2.3.1. OS.
