Samsung has reportedly been working quietly toward officially pushing out Android M for several of its smartphones once Google rolls out hte new platform.

But while the South Korean smartphone maker is mum about just how soon it will roll out Android M after it launches, Samsung has posted an infographic which gives users a peek at what they can expect from Android M.

The infographic, titled "What's New in Android M?" is posted on Samsung's official website and provides an insight into what features users will find included in its Galaxy line of flagship devices.

It also shows screenshots of the Galaxy S6 Edge and how Samsung intends to deploy the security changes and the rest of the exciting features of Android M to the fullest.

Next week, Google is expected to unveil what the M in its much touted new operating system stands for. It is speculated that the M could stand for Marshmallow, given Google's penchant for naming Android iterations after desserts, as hinted in a video made by a couple of Googlers.

The infographic released by Samsung shows that the company will make the most of Android M's features, including App Permissions, Track Memory, Quick Finger Print Access, Auto Backup and Power Saving.

App Permissions, as the name suggests, will offer users the ability to choose which functionalities their apps will have access to. For instance, if a user doesn't t wish for an app to access his location, he can turn off permissions to access location.

The Track Memory feature will also be handy for users who want to keep tabs on which app is using up the most memory. The Memory tab in Android M will let users check which app is using up how much space and how often the app is running on the device's monitor.

The Quick Finger Print Access will not only let users unlock their device, but also log in to the Google Play Store. Users do not need to key in their password to gain access as was the case in Android Lollipop. Instead, they can use the fingerprint scanner to authorize purchases made in the store.

Features such as Auto Backup will automatically make a backup of the app data and save it  on Google Drive so that users do not lose the information when swapping phones. Doze Mode on Android M will also aid in saving battery life as it automatically turns on when the device has not been used for a while.
