AMC's spin-off from the smash hit The Walking Dead premiered last week, introducing its first family of survivors on the show. It's too early to tell who will be sticking around in Fear the Walking Dead but the characters themselves have opinions on who will last.

Like many zombie shows, Fear the Walking Dead starts off with the characters failing to come to grips with what is happening. However, by the end of the show's premiere, it has established that the reality is slowly sinking in for Madison, Nick, Alicia and Travis. What everyone believed to be just the delusions of a drug addict is slowly proving itself to be real, signifying that the characters may soon be undergoing dramatic changes to help them cope.

The cast talked to The Hollywood Reporter, sharing what they believed are the valuable skills their characters have and if these will help in ensuring their survival for the rest of the show or at least the first season.

According to Franke Dillane, he thinks Nick's ability to get what he wants will come in most handy for surviving the zombie apocalypse. Some morality issues might crop up because of this skill set but Dillane explained that Nick's single-mindedness makes him focus on one thing and, in the show, that may be surviving.

For Kim Dickens, Madison is "the primal mama bear." As a mother, she's had to do all she can to fix things about her but these very same things she's trying to hide are what would come out to help her when the need arises. She's also fearless and pragmatic, allowing her to make decisions quickly, which will be necessary if a horde of zombies is after you. However, Dickens said she didn't think Madison has the skills to survive.

Alycia Debnam-Carey, on the other hand, thinks her character, Alicia, has what it takes to survive, citing being streetwise as a crucial skill set. Alicia is already self-sufficient and independent but being a teenager will present challenges. Debnam-Carey believes that her character will transition into adulthood within the show.

Cliff Curtis' Travis can rely on his clear thinking, said the actor. But more than just surviving, Travis has a more soulful instinct to him that will judge what it really means to be in the world. Curtis sees Travis undergoing introspection in the show, while trying to avoid being eaten by zombies, because "there's more to life than being a badaass."

The Hollywood Reporter polled readers to see which of the four they think will die first and, results showed that, after getting 37.8 percent of 2,529 votes, Alicia is believed to be the likeliest to say goodbye to Fear the Walking Dead first, despite her street smarts.
