The official release date for Deus Ex: Mankind Divided has been announced today. The hotly anticipated sequel will arrive on Feb. 23, 2016.

In addition to the date, Square Enix has also announced a unique preorder program that allows you to choose your rewards. In a twist worthy of a crowdfunding campaign, the developer is offering additional tiers of rewards after new milestones are reached in preorder numbers.

There are five tiers of rewards, and most of them offer more than one reward that you'll be allowed to choose from. The first, which is already unlocked for all preorders, is a selection of three character skins. Each one gives you a different look for Adam Jensen along with weapons specialized for the type of gameplay that skin represents.

Tier 2 is about behind-the-scenes materials. Once this level is reached, you'll be able to choose either a digital art book, or a digital sampler of the Deus Ex: Mankind Divided original soundtrack. Tier 3 unlocks an added in-game mission for Adam to undertake.

Tier 4 is themed around new Deus Ex stories. Its choices include a digital comic book or a novella. Finally, if Square Enix reaches its top presales goal for Mankind Divided, the publisher will release the game four days early (February 19) as a reward for Tier 5.

Square Enix isn't saying what its "predetermined number of preorders" is, so it's anybody's guess how many sales it will take to reach that top tier.

The publisher also announced a Collector's Edition release, which is available for preorder as well. The Collector's Edition does away with all of the picking and choosing, giving you all of the preorder rewards. The remainder of its contents were voted on and determined by fans. Those items include a 48-page Titan art book, a 9-inch Adam Jensen figurine, a limited-edition steelbook, and the Day 1 Edition of the game.

Whichever day in February 2016 it winds up releasing on, Deus Ex: Mankind Divided will be available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Windows PC.
