The Asus RT-AC5300 router is a thing to behold. Both for its otherworldly design and insanely powerful specs. The tri-band router features one 2.4-GHz band with speeds up to 1,000 Mbps and two 5-GHz bands capable of speeds up to 5,300 Mbps.

The router's got eight detachable dual-band antennas, which, when enabled, give the router something of an arachnid quality. There are also two USB ports, for hooking up additional peripherals.

The RT-AC5300 utilizes AiProtection to help out with security, real-time network monitoring to detect malware and viruses. It will begin shipping by year's end. Expect to pay an arm and a leg – or eight.
