Fans have been doing great work using the Rockstar Editor video creation tools that launched with Grand Theft Auto V on PC. From recreations of Scooby-Doo to original short films, players have definitely shown how powerful the editor, and their imaginations, can really be.

Now Xbox One and PlayStation 4 players can get in on the action, as Grand Theft Auto V on each console has been updated to include a new and improved Rockstar Editor, along with a massive batch of new Freemode events.

There are a ton of new functions included in Rockstar Editor for players to mess around with. Players can spawn vehicles from their hanger or marina to use for videos, pause the time of day and copy and paste their marker properties. More ambient sounds have been added, as have more songs and fonts.

Those who aren't interested in becoming the next big filmmaker in Los Santos can enjoy the number of new events and achievements/trophies added in the update as well.

The Hunt the Best Freemode event has players transform into a stronger, faster and hairier version of themselves that must flee from hostile forces throughout Los Santos. Hold the Wheel turns the game's golf cart into an indestructible marked vehicle. The person behind-the-wheel when the timer runs to zero wins the prize, but they'll have to fend off other players who will do anything to take control of the cart for themselves. Penned In spawns a massive dome that players must race to get under and then stay under as it shrinks to increasingly smaller sizes. Those who get pushed out of the dome have seven seconds before they explode. The last man standing inside the dome at the end takes the prize.

Many of these modes sound completely bonkers, but that's what makes Grand Theft Auto Online so much fun. In addition to new achievements/trophies and game modes, there is a long, long list of bug fixes across all of the game's platforms. Rockstar continues to go above and beyond supporting Grand Theft Auto V and isn't showing signs of stopping anytime soon. Now if only they could add mods to the console versions...
