A 28-year old woman from Colorado is currently in search of her birth mother, who abandoned her hours after delivery.

On Sunday, Sept 13, Andrea Klug-Napier posted a photo of herself on Facebook, holding a sign saying that her mother "Amy Beach" from San Diego, California gave birth to her in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho at a medical facility called Kootenai Hospital. Her birth date was April 30, 1987.

Andrea's biological mother left the hospital 12 hours after giving birth to her and was not able to give her a name. With this, the nurses called her "Baby Girl Beach."

In her post, Andrea explained that the main reason for her seemingly late search is due to medical concerns. According to her, she has bad food hypersensitivities and that she wanted to know if there is a link and obtain further medical history. She added that because she is already older, she might soon start a family of her own thus, she thought of looking for her birth mom now.

Andrea was adopted by an Idaho couple and lived there until she was 16 years old. Her family then moved to Colorado. She clarified that she is not looking for another parent; she had an amazing life with her loving adoptive mother and father, who both have been supportive in her quest to find her biological mom.

All she wanted was to gather some medical history but if there is more to that, then it would be great, she added. Particularly, she is curious to find out if she has brothers or sisters. According to Andrea, when her mother went to the hospital, she stated that she had previously given birth once. With this, a possible sibling may be out there. Andrea grew up as an only child and so she thinks that it would be cool to know if she has siblings and connect with them.

A local new program has covered Andrea's story and after the report was released, she said that she has been receiving calls from people, who offer tips and well wishes as she embarks on her search. Friend requests also started to flood Andrea's account, with about 150 pending invites.
