Factory unlocked Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge is available from eBay at a reduced price of $499.99.

Samsung took the wraps off the Galaxy S6 and the Galaxy S6 Edge at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in early March this year and the handsets hit the shelves in April this year. The handset has received a lot of popularity in the smartphone space due to its top-end features. However, the top-notch features of the handset are also accompanied with a steep price tag.

However, customers can get the GSM model of the smartphone at a discounted rate of $499.99 from eBay. The 32GB version of the Galaxy S6 Edge on offer via the online retailer is available in Black Sapphire, Gold Platinum and White Pearl color options.

The handset is SIM unlocked but is still region locked, which means that customers who take advantage of the latest eBay deal will be able to operate the phone on GSM networks in North America and in South America only. In the U.S. the mobile phone can work on AT&T and T-Mobile.

The eBay warns that the Galaxy S6 Edge on offer will not work on any CDMA networks and purchasers should check compatibility before buying the handset.

"These phones work with GSM networks in North and South America regions only like AT&T and T-Mobile as well as with GSM SIM cards (e.g. H20, Straight Talk, and select prepaid carriers)," according to the eBay seller. "Unlocked cell phones will not work with CDMA carriers like Verizon, Sprint, Boost, Cricket, Straight Talk, Metro PCS, or any other CDMA Network Carrier. Please check your carrier's supported bands to make sure the phone is compatible."

The Galaxy S6 Edge has rarely been offered at a discounted price since its release. Amazon is currently selling the unlocked version of the Samsung smartphone for $619.99 and BestBuy is offering the phone for $719.99.

The Galaxy S6 Edge is also available directly from AT&T for $719.99 without any contract. T-Mobile customers will have to pay $679.99 for the Galaxy S6 Edge paid in 24 equal installments of $28.33.

The Galaxy S6 Edge offer on eBay is the best at the moment and interested customers may have to hurry as the seller has limited quantities of the mobile phone.
