There’s no stopping YouTube as it announced Thursday at VidCon in Anaheim Convention Center that fanatics, creators and advertisers can expect several new features and updates in its platform in the months to come.

VidCon is an annual event where thousands of fanatics and creators meet to share their passion for all things YouTube and video creation online.

As posted on The Official YouTube Partners & Creators Blog, the new features and updates are YouTube Creator Studio, Audio Library (now with sound effects), 60 frames-per-second (fps) support, Fan Funding, Creator Credits, Fan Subtitles, Info Cards, SiriusXM & YouTube and more ways to create playlists.

The YouTube Creator Studio is a mobile app that allows users to manage their videos, see analytics and many other things. Though currently available on Android devices, the app is about to roll out on iOS devices in the weeks to come.

The Audio Library now offers sound effects that are royalty free for users, plus additional tracks to the library. The company also added support for 48 fps and 60 fps videos to enhance video game footages. It also developed more ways for users to create playlists, which brings better results for them and easier ways for viewers to discover content.

Fan Funding, meanwhile, allows fans to contribute money to support their favorite channels anytime they want through services like IndieGogo, KickStarter and Patreon, among others. Creators, such as The Young Turks, Dulce Delight, Soul Pancake, Fitness Blender, Steve Spangler Science and many others, will soon test the feature on Android and desktop. Contributions in the tip jar may be as low as $1 to as high as $500.

Collaboration is a culture on YouTube, and shout-outs to those who collaborate are part of the practice. The company plans to convert those shout-outs to tags that will lead to the channels of collaborators when clicked by viewers.

YouTubers are from all over the world, so not everyone speaks the same language. Others may even have difficulty hearing or are completely deaf. So to serve all kinds of users, the company adds automatic translation and speech recognition in its platform. Fans can collaborate by submitting their translations as based on the captions or subtitles created. For initial testing, users can check out Unicoos, Barely Political, Got Talent Global and Fine Art-Tips.

Interactive information cards are like direct links to the campaigns of creators and fundraising efforts. It also allows viewers to buy anything such as music on Google’s Play Store.

YouTube also teamed up with SiriusXM to create a weekly show called “The YouTube 15” that will feature the most popular names as well as rising stars in the music business.
