Drop everything, Venkman. We haven't got one.

Ghostbusters fans are in an uproar that Rick Moranis will not guest in the upcoming movie reboot. Majority of the original main cast, including Ernie Hudson, Sigourney Weaver, Dan Aykroyd and Bill Murray, will have a cameo role in the movie. Moranis, however, who played Ghostbusters accountant Louis Tully, turned down the appearance.

Assigned to the reboot is director Paul Feig (Bridesmaids, Spy) along with all-female cast Leslie Jones, Kate McKinnon, Kristen Wiig and Melissa McCarthy.

"I wish them well," shared Moranis in an interview. "I hope it's terrific. But it just makes no sense to me. Why would I do just one day of shooting on something I did 30 years ago."

The 62-year-old star took an 18-year hiatus from acting. Following the death of his wife to breast cancer in 1997, he focused on raising his two children away from the limelight.

Moranis says that he continues to review invitations to do film and television roles, but nothing, so far, including Ghostbusters, has piqued his interest.

The Canadian actor rose to fame in the '80s in the sketch comedy show Second City Television. He later appeared in Hollywood films such as Strange Brew, Ghostbusters, Spaceballs, Little Shop of Horrors, Honey, I Shrunk the Kids and its sequels, Little Giants, Parenthood, The Flintstones and My Blue Heaven.

As of posting, Santa Monica-based endorsement firm Bailey Brand Management is tasked to represent Moranis. Today, he is mostly involved in voice and writing projects.

"Yes, I am picky, and I'll continue to be picky. Picky has worked for me."

Nonetheless, it won't hurt for fans to hold out for a few more years until Moranis picks up a movie project—hopefully another Ghostbusters reboot more suited to his preference.

After all, if the Ghostbusters aren't complete, who else are we gonna' call?
