Readers beware! This episode is full of spoilers for 'AHS: Hotel' episode 2!

Last night's episode of American Horror Story: Hotel further confirmed our expectations that this season will be a hit among fans of the series. We learned a bit more about the guests who have checked into Hotel Cortez with the debut of a few key characters.

Evan Peters made his season debut as James March, the murderous original hotel owner and billionaire builder from the '20s. And we could so tell that showrunner Ryan Murphy was inspired by serial killer H.H. Holmes since March, too, included secret passages, hallways with no exits, torture chambers where he even installed asbestos to block the screams in his house of horrors. At least we now know who is behind that mask, and we learned that his killings are based on the Ten Commandments. It's also very possible that Countess Elizabeth (Lady Gaga) was his wife who turned him in to police to gain all his riches.

We also were introduced to Vogue editor Claudia (Naomi Campbell), but it was Gaga who was the queen of fashion, wearing some of the most gorgeous gowns that showed off the Countess' killer style.

And the episode was all about the hunt.

Countess Elizabeth (Lady Gaga) chased down fresh meat, the model Tristan Duffy (Finn Wittrock), dumping Donovan (Matt Bomer). We learn more about the Countess' back story, including her type of guy (tall, dark, handsome and full of rage), that she was born back in 1904 and was a disco queen (Gaga on a horse!). The vampire virus allows them to never change, but they can still die—only able to stay immortal if they are smart.

Sure, Elizabeth stalking her prey was terrifying (seriously, Gaga was born to play this role), but the night's scariest moment goes to Hypodermic Sally's (Sarah Paulson) teeth scene. We learn that Sally is the one who is stitching people into the mattresses, and that she was a writer who poems were like "glass shattering" before she became obsessed with chasing that heavenly high.

"Weird things go down, especially at night," Sally told Detective John Lowe (Wes Bentley), the hours between 2 a.m. and 3 a.m. always being the worst.

Lowe also uncovers some secrets the haunted hotel is hiding when it comes to the darkness trapped inside, and in next week's episode we will see a lot more from the evil owner behind it all.

In the promo for AHS: Hotel episode 3, Tristan begins to idolize the murderer, as the Countess starts to seduce Drake by "giving him dangerous thoughts."

Meanwhile, her recent ex is not only nursing a broken heart, but he also seems to get himself tied up in some trouble as Angela Bassett's Ramona Royale makes her debut.

Titled "Mommy," the episode will also further explore Drake's daughter Scarlet seeing her dead brother Holden.

The synopsis for the episode is as follows:

Alex is pushed to her breaking point after Scarlett stirs up memories of Holden. Donovan is targeted by a dangerous rival of The Countess. Written by James Wong; directed by Bradley Buecker

Written by James Wong and directed by Bradley Buecker, AHS: Hotel episode 3 "Mommy" debuts Wednesday, Oct. 21, at 10 p.m. EDT on FX. Check out the promo below.
